Saint Basil - one of the three great Cappadocian saints who lived in 4 century, and is renowned for its special role in the church’s teaching. Saint Basil the Great from a young age brought up in Christian piety. From his youth he accumbens teaching and was one of the most educated men of his time. They were composed liturgy, which still is used in the liturgy of the Orthodox Church. As a wise mentor of Saint Basil he inspired especially teachers and missionaries. Basil the Great in Russia always enjoyed eagerly worship along with Saint Nicholas.
